Hi everyone,
don't have much time to put photos on here but thought i'd write a quick update to say we are both okay and things are going well :)
We arrived here yesterday afternoon after a 2 day boat trip from Houay Xai (on the border with Thailand). It was very long...about 7-8 hours each day but decided it was the safer option compared to the speed boats that come with their horror stories! They did pack people on like expected but we were there early and managed to get a seat (far from comfortable the 1st day!) so it was bearable. The boat was quite sociable and in this small place it's full of familiar faces which is nice, just bumping into people all over the place. Today me and Liz hired bikes and have done a bit of sightseeing but it is so hot that we're hiding in this internet cafe to cool off a bit.
We think we might either stay one more day and do some sort of day trip to the caves/waterfall or move on down to Vang Vieng to do more activities from there, it depends how we feel in the morning or what kind of deals the tour companies do!
I hope everyone at home is ok? Thanks for all the messages, its always nice to hear from you and be kept roughly upto date with what's going on. I doubt i will have much time on the internet here as its quite expensive and not that fast so if you dont hear from me for a good few days theres no need to worry!!
Also a quick hi to Mum who i hear has been keeping upto date with my blog :) sorry we havent called yet, we spent ages trying to find the place to make cheap international calls from the other night and had no luck!
